Projects

For more than ten years, members of Aid Meridian have been involved in diverse altruistic efforts. Since officially forming as an organisation in 2025, we have been steadily building toward the following key projects.

Our focus has always been the relief of human suffering.

As we have grown we now only focus on Anti-Human Trafficking and Emergency First Aid Response.

Some recent projects

Sri Lanka Emergency Readiness

Aid Meridian is currently working through an implementation plan in Sri Lanka focused on Emergency First Response (EFR) training and essential readiness supplies. While this long-term preparedness work continues, the recent severe floods had an immediate and devastating impact on communities, and we were able to directly fund urgently needed supplies to support relief efforts in Kandy. We are also seeking additional support to assist with body retrieval requirements, a difficult but critical need emerging from this disaster.

Our commitment to Sri Lanka is deeply personal: Aid Meridian’s founders have long-standing ties to the country, sharing a love for its people, culture, wildlife, and world-renowned surf. Many Australians feel this same connection, with Sri Lanka and Australia enjoying a rich and longstanding exchange of tourism, culture, friendship, and community. This bond strengthens our resolve to stand alongside Sri Lankan communities in times of crisis and support efforts that build resilience for the future.

Vanuatu Emergency Readiness

Aid Meridian is actively collaborating with local NGOs to strengthen community readiness by preparing and distributing Emergency First Response (EFR) packs that can be deployed immediately in the event of an emergency. These partnerships allow us to ensure that practical, locally appropriate supplies reach the people and regions most likely to need them, while also supporting a network of grassroots organisations who understand their communities best.

Alongside this preparedness work, we are funding additional locally led projects that improve resilience, safety, and day-to-day wellbeing. By empowering trusted NGOs and investing in community-driven initiatives, Aid Meridian helps build sustainable, meaningful support structures that can respond swiftly when crisis conditions arise.

Thailand Anti-Human Trafficking

Across the Thai border, we coordinate carefully planned rescue operations to remove individuals from trafficking and exploitation and guide them through the complex journey back to safety. Our Safe Passage approach combines strategic intervention with long-term repatriation support, restoring legal identity, securing documentation, and navigating cross-border processes to ensure survivors can safely return home with their rights, protection, and dignity intact.

Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Funding in Australia

Valitros is taking on this project as part of their commitment to aligning with Aid Meridian’s values, offering free AML and CTF support. Their goal is to help disrupt the flow of illicit funds entering the country, money that drives up housing prices, fuels organised crime, and makes it even harder for young Australians to afford a home.

These criminal groups also target vulnerable people, including migrants and those under financial stress, for exploitation and laundering schemes. By helping frontline accountants identify and prevent this activity, Valitros is contributing to safer communities, fairer housing conditions, and stronger protection for Australians who are most at risk.

Philippines Anti-Human Trafficking

We are working in close collaboration with the Philippine Department of Justice and the Department of Social Welfare and Development to strengthen national and community-based responses to human trafficking. Through coordinated awareness campaigns, prevention programs, and capacity-building initiatives, we support efforts to educate vulnerable communities about recruitment tactics, improve early identification of trafficking risks, and reinforce protective systems at both local and national levels.

By aligning with government strategy and frontline services, our work helps disrupt trafficking pathways before exploitation occurs and ensures at-risk individuals have access to accurate information, support networks, and protective interventions.
